Safelink, Incorporated, a privately held Illinois corporation, specializes in urine, hair and saliva drug testing as well as breath alcohol evaluations. In addition, the company has been performing DOT physicals since 1993. Safelink, Inc. is a DATIA certified collection facility. Since 1998, trucking (FMCSA/DOT) companies, school bus systems (ILDOT), employers and schools have grown to trust and rely upon the expertise Safelink has proven time and time again. Safelink, Incorporated is a St. Louis Drug Testing management company.

Starting as a small drug testing company in a physicians office in 1998, Safelink's owner, Dr. Clinton M. Smith realized it was unfair to ask small trucking companies to pay exorbatant contract fees for drug testing. He began Safelink, Inc. as a invoice drug testing facility. This allowed small companies to "pay-as-they-go" when mandatory randoms, pre-employment, re-certifications, and resonable suspicions were necessary.

This concept caught on and now Safelink, Inc. has more than 80 companies they manage as a Third Party Administrator, and that number continues to grow!

Ms. Smith's background is in Law. She is a practicing attorney for the State of Illinois Apellate Court with over 15 years law experience. DOT rules can get confusing and freightening. Carma manages all aspects of your company's drug program. Day or night, she is on call to help you keep up-to-date and current on your DOT drivers or employees.

News...

Random program now being managed by Safelink.

The DOT mandated random program that all companies must follow is now being managed locally by Safelink, Carma Smith, noted. "The past company's error rate was too high and we just could not get it down, so we purchased the random generator software. It makes it easier on us, there are less 'hands in the pot' so errors in reporting are down substantially.

We are charging a yearly fee simply to help offset the cost of the software, but it is minimal and on a graded schedule, depending on the size of the company."

Dr. Clinton M. Smith, President of Safelink, Inc. has been performing DOT/FMCSA physicals for 10 years. In 2005, he was invited to participate on the Working Integrated Product Team for the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners a project headed by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
