Do I need a DOT Physical? |
If you drive or operate a vehicle with a gross vehicular weight over 10,001 lbs, federal regulations state that you need a DOT physical. This also means if you are driving a large pickup truck and pulling a trailer in tandem.

2. Do I need to be involved in a Drug & Alcohol Program? |
If you drive or operate a vehicle with a gross vehicular weight over 26,001 lbs, federal regulations state that you need a DOT physical and must be enrolled in a random drug and alcohol program. If you reasonably suspect your commodity will depart the State of Illinois or if you have a DOT or UCR number you must be compliant with federal DOT regulations. Don’t be face to face with a DOT auditor without the right information and paperwork. |
